Raising the Quality of Product Photos

The quality of your web design is an essential factor for the perceived value of the products you present. A website has many components which define its quality, such as the structure and navigation, the clarity and performance, and the value of the contents. Part of the latter contains the quality of your photography, which weighs heavily not only for websites, but also for social media and any other online platform attracting visitors.

A beautiful photographed product will raise its very value as well as build trust with the recipient. The photographic presentation of your product may make the difference between a visit and a sale.

At Shores Canada Ltd. we offer various services that create and prime media in order to present products in the Internet.

Our services for example include

  • Product Photography
  • 360 Degree Photography
  • Macro Photography
  • … and more

Product photos per example can be shot in multiple steps to insure a raise in quality for the final photograph.

Focus Stacking and High Dynamic Range

With help of focus stacking the depict object can be made tack sharp even if the photographic equipment, e.g. the lens, has limitations that prevent a one-shot sharp photo. A focus stacked image is produced by taking multiple photos of the product with a varying focus distance, and then merging them together by favoring the sharp sections first.

A second method called HDR (High Dynamic Range) can ensure more accurate and vibrant lighting of the final photo, bringing it much closer to what the human eye would see. To produce the HDR "tone mapped" image the photographer would shoot multiple photos of the product with varying exposure values, and then merge these photos into one final image.

Both such techniques can be combined as visualized in our example and will lead to overall better results for your product presentation.
